At the prime age of 38, our Managing Editor Hera Diani found out that she was pregnant. So after the initial shock, she decided to do something that writers always do: chronicle her experience. This is the first of the “38 and Pregnant” graphic series, illustrated by Adhitya Pattisahusiwa.

Writer Profile
Hera Diani, Managing Editor
Hera, like many Indonesians, has two names and she relishes the fact that Indonesian women do not have to take the surname of their fathers and husbands. Pop culture, not Deepak, is her guru, but she is critical of the terrible aspects of it, such as the contents with messages of misoginy and rape culture, and The Kardashians.
